2012 Milwaukee Film Festival Sponsor Trailer
This is the second year we’ve worked with the Milwaukee Film Festival on the sponsor trailer. The footage of the nighttime adventures of the van and the Milwaukee-ans were directed by Vinnie Besasie and all the graphics and visual effects were completed by Aurum. This is a project we’ve been looking forward to for a whole year!
Feed Your Soul 2012 – Flourish
Celebrating 9 years of helping to feed the hungry! Feed Your Soul chose the theme of Flourish, and we designed the animation and invitation around that theme. Since “flourish” means both growth and embellishment, we had some fun with both meanings. Please plan on attending Nov 2. for an evening of art, music, food, cocktails and entertainment. Check out FYSMKE.com for details.
University Lake School – Opportunity
The by-product of a photo shoot is often hundreds of unused photos. We re-purposed these photos into an animated commercial for University Lake School in Hartland Wisconsin. For a complete Pre-K to Grade 12 education, there is no better school in Wisconsin.

Matrix – Believe In Better
This was our first project with Johnson Fitness Equipment, an international company based in Wisconsin which specializes in the design, production and marketing of award-winning fitness equipment. We worked closely with their creative team to make a stylized brand video for their flagship line of equipment. We were inspired by Top Gear, and had much client support in bringing this video to life. It debuted at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles at the 2012 IHRSA Convention.

Feed Your Soul – 2011
We won a 2012 Silver Telly in the Event Category and a Bronze Telly for Animation! This is going to be hard to beat this year, but we’re looking forward to the challenge.
BMA Milwaukee awarded the 2011 Feed Your Soul video the First Runner-up to Best Of Show in the 2012 BMA Bell Awards. It also won another Bell Award for the non-profit category. We were in good company beside many of Milwaukee’s largest and most creative agencies. Not bad for our first entry into the show!
This is our second year working with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and Feed Your Soul. Feed Your Soul is an event where artists transform wooden bowls into works of art that are auctioned to the highest bidders. Feed Your Soul has raised over $200,000 to feed the hungry, providing over a million meals.

We’re proud to introduce the 2011 Trek Madone commercial which debuted during the 2011 Tour De France. We created the concept of a single pencil line transforming into a complex, aerospace-engineered racing legend with our good friends at Hanson Dodge Creative. We also learned how Trek leads the carbon fiber technology industry with a super-secret factory tour. Watch for Andy Schleck at the end, and watch for him to win the Tour this year. This is our second Trek adventure with this creative team. Take a look at the spot we did for last year’s Tour.

Radio Milwaukee
We believe that Radio Milwaukee not only plays great music, but they also support the community with their programming. So we were glad to re-purpose some footage we shot (and by ‘we’, I mean Ken Kornacki, his 12 year-old son Gabe and Michael Graf of Spot Filmworks) for the opening titles we did for the Milwaukee 99 Award Show. We scoped out Milwaukee landmarks and ‘projected’ graphics on them and generally ran around looking for cool shots.

Hello. My name is…
Here’s a short film about the names of numbers set to tango music. Large numbers. This was made for a contest which invited filmmakers to create a companion piece to the famous ‘Powers Of Ten‘ film made by Charles and Ray Eames. How did it fare in the contest? 3rd. Oh well…I’ll bet you didn’t know some of these names until now, so that’s something.
Designed, directed and animated by Ken Kornacki.
Music by Cristian Visale

- Ten to the sixth power.
- Some illions.
- More illions.
Ebert Presents At The Movies
Way back in the 90s, I worked on The Siskel & Ebert Show. So it was great to hear from the director that he was putting the old team together to launch a new show. We designed the logo and the opening sequence to Ebert Presents At The Movies based on Roger’s love of Orson Welles in ‘The Third Man’. They were even able to license the original soundtrack music, proving again what clout the man has. It was extremely nerve-wracking presenting work directly to the man famous for his learned opinion. But he’s a great guy and loved our work.
Design, direction and compositing by Aurum.
- Chicago Skyline.
- CG film reel.
- The Third Man.
- Chrome logo.
